Excuse my ignorance, what/where is Akbol?

Its just north of Palapa Bar- about 1 mile or so north of the cut. I have heard nothing but good things about it and you can check out their site at akbol.com

Just a little reminder:
Good isn't cheap and cheap isn't good. However, reasonable prices are available at numerous bars. Always ask if the prices are in Belize or US dollars. A few resorts charge in US. Some larger tourist bars are higher priced.

In my opinion you can always ask the bartender what the price of a beer or drink is and you will find that some resorts are a little pricy but not like airport prices.
We have in the past used the pool at some resorts but the trade off is we drink the drinks.
